Baptisms

The birth of a child is a momentous event and many parents feel it is right to mark the moment by having their child christened. This provides an opportunity for them to celebrate the birth of their child with friends, family and with God.

The birth of a child is a momentous event and many parents feel it is right to mark the moment by having their child christened. This provides an opportunity for them to celebrate the birth of their child with friends, family and with God.

Baptism (another word for christening) is also an opportunity to publicly acknowledge how special your child is, how thankful you are to God for the gift of this new life and to affirm your responsibility for caring for your child.

However, there are many questions that immediately spring to mind that may affect where you hold the ceremony and whom you choose to be your godparents. It’s also important to consider whether you would prefer to have a service of thanksgiving instead of or prior to baptism, have a look at our frequently asked questions for guidance, or feel free to contact us, via the contact us section of the website.
