Bell Ringers
Sutton St James has a very friendly band of bell ringers. We ring from 10:15 am to 10.45am on Sundays before the morning service which starts at 10.45am. We ring for the Sunday evening service when we can.

Practice nights are normally on a Wednesday evening from 7:00pm for learners and 8.00pm onwards for all, but it is worth checking before making a special trip as we do have an occasional Wednesday (eg during August) when we do not have six ringers.

New, novice or seasoned ringers are always made welcome.

Choir
Sutton St James has a strong musical tradition. Our choir is very friendly and always welcomes new members. From time to time they combine with other local church choirs for 'special events' and have been invited to sing at Chester Cathedral on a fairly regular basis.

The choir practices almost every Thursday evening throughout the year (in church) from 7.30pm to 9.00/9.30pm. On most Sundays they sing at the 10:45am service and once a month evensong 6.30pm service.

Hob Nob
The Hob Nob club is an informal gathering - open to all. It normally meets fortnightly on on a Thursday afternoon at 2.30pm in the Church Hall. From time to time the Hob Nob club organizes outings, trips and visits.

Knit and Natter

Knit and natter is a group of crafty people who meet in the church house pub for a drink, natter and a bit crafts.

Saturday Walking Group
Meets monthly for walks of 5 to 10 miles, on the second Saturday in the month, starting from the Church car park at 9.30am.

Golden Memories

Meets every first and third Thursday of the month is St James' church hall. A time to support those affected by Dementia and those who care for them.

Refreshments, meeting new friends, fun and gentle activities.
